I remember when I went to my first Tempations home party 2 years ago. As I watched the representative demonstrate her products she really impressed me and I thought to myself “I could never stand up in front of people and do that”. I spoke to the rep and she reassured me that it feels very natural to show these products. So I decided to give it a try and years later I love what I do. I have parties and meet new and more interesting people and the best part is that I can stay home with my children and not have to put them in day care. One of the most important things to remember to have a successful home party is to make sure your Hostess is prepared. Well preparedness of your hostess is essential in having your home party run smoothly. The following tips will help your next home party be a success:

1. Before your home party be sure to meet with the hostess personally. Make sure she is familiar with the products that you carry. Help your hostess come up with a guest list. Remind her of people she could invite such as friends, family co-workers, neighbors and many other places. Tell her to remind guests to bring a friend.

2. Be sure to also give your hostess some catalogs to show possible guests or maybe guests that aren’t available for the time of the party. Make her aware of whether or not she may take orders before the show. Review your hostess rewards program with her. Be sure to review the order forms with your hostess so she can help customers place orders.

3. Explain the delivery process. Will the merchandise come directly to her or will you be bringing it to her? Will you be distributing the merchandise to her guest or will she? What are the delivery charges and who pays for them?

4. Discuss plans for refreshments. Is she expected prepare refreshments or will you be bringing them? What are you going to have?

5. Arrive at your hostess’s home early before the show. Does furniture need to be moved? Make sure there is enough and proper seating so that each guest will be facing the center of the display. Also be sure there is enough lighting for everyone to see.

Q: Who can attend a party or Host a party?
A: You must be 18 years or older. The party will not be conducted if there are minors present.

Q: I have many shy friends. . . will they be embarrassed?
A: Because of the nature of the products there are bound to be shy friends who are apprehensive about attending your party. We play games and share many laughs! We don’t ask direct questions about everyone’s sex life. People may volunteer during the presentation but no one is “forced” to. All orders are discreet and confidential, no one will ever know you’ve ordered any products unless you tell them. If your friends are still apprehensive they may make an order through me and it will count toward your party total, as long as the order is placed prior to your party date.

Q: What kind of products does Temptations Parties offer?

Q: Is there a minimum number of guests I have to have at my party?
A: No. We encourage you to over-invite. There will always be people who can’t attend. Encourage all your guests to bring a friend (or more). In planning any party you generally get half the guests invited…things come up and people may not be able to go. The more guests you have at your party the better it is for you, because it will bring your party total higher!

Q: What does a hostess receive for having a party?
A: The more that’s ordered at your party the more *FREE* items for you!!

Q: What is a “qualifying party?”
A: Your party sales must reach $250 before receiving any of the hostess benefits. This is very easy to do! Rarely is there a party under $250 and these low-selling parties are mainly because of low guest count.

Q: I don’t want my friends to know what I order…will they?
A: Absolutely not!! Temptations Parties takes confidentiality very seriously. The only people who know what you order is your distributor and you, as one of our requests when setting up a party is a quiet room away from the party to place orders to ensure privacy for answering questions and placing orders. If you and your guests choose to share, discuss and compare your orders ~ that is a personal choice. The Host/Hostess of the party will only know the party totals…not what each individual specifically ordered.

This is your party! You decide your guest list, date, time, theme or type of party and games to be played. I recommend having light refreshments and snacks for your guests.

The consultant will arrive at your house about an hour before your scheduled party to set up. All the consultant needs is a table to set up my products for the presentation and access to a private room so your guests can place orders with me after the party.

Remember this is your party! The plan below is the basic layout for most parties.

The consultant will start your party with a game to get everyone loosened up and ready for the presentation.

After the game the consultant will start the presentation. The consultant will talk about the various romance enrichment products we have in our line, passing everything around the room for you and your guests to see, touch, smell and in some cases even taste!

Halfway through the presentation we will take a break. When we come back for the remainder of the presentation, we’ll start off with another game.

The entire presentation lasts anywhere from 1-1/2 hours including ordering time. You and your guests are encouraged to ask questions about any of the products during the presentation or in private if not comfortable speaking about them in front of everyone else.
